Ingredients
½ cup | Tree Top Apple Sauce |
1 cup | rolled oats |
¼ cup | margarine or butter |
1 cup | boiling water |
¾ cup | cornmeal |
1 tbsp | sugar |
2 tsp | chicken instant bouillon |
½ cup | milk |
1 cup | shredded cheddar cheese |
1 | egg beaten |
2 cups | white or wheat flour |
2 tbsp | peanut butter |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325ºF. Grease cookie sheets. | |
In a large bowl mix rolled oats, water and margarine and peanut butter. | |
Let stand for 10 minutes. | |
Stir in cornmeal, sugar, chicken bouillon, milk, cheese, apple sauce and egg. Mix well. Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition until dough is no longer sticky. | |
Roll out dough into ½ inch thickness; cut with cookie cutter, and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet. | |
Bake for 35-45 minutes in preheated oven. | |
Store in the refrigerator or freeze. |
